|Employee Benefits Communications
A national benefits consulting firm recruited Minkin Design to develop Open Enrollment benefits communications for their client, Hitachi Data Systems. Hitachi’s 10,000+ employees needed to be notified of their upcoming Open Enrollment period and the changes in benefits from the previous to the current year.
Working directly with Hitachi’s head of Human Resources, we wrote, designed and project managed the two-month employee communications campaign. While paying strict attention to Hitachi brand guidelines, we also felt it was important clearly identify these materials as coming from HR. We used common imagery from Hitachi’s in-house library that was also represented on the home page of HR’s intranet portal to tie the communications together.
The OE campaign included a “mark your calendar” postcard, a 4-page newsletter with plan change highlights, and a 28-page comprehensive summary to help employees understand the value of their benefits and compare the various health plans they were being offered.
These time and subject-sensitive communications successfully delivered key messages from HR about benefits, while attracting and keeping Hitachi’s unique audience of savvy, high tech employees informed and engaged during this important period.
